Travis Aufderheide | Executive Director
Travis's time at GLLM began as a camper, which sparked a passion for outdoor ministry. In his college years, Travis worked as both summer and winter staff. While teaching, Travis returned to serve as Summer Site Director at Green Lake Bible Camp. In 2015, Travis began full-time as the GLBC Site Director. He is eager to take on his new role as Executive Director.
Sonya Erickson | Director of Finance and Administration
Sonya started working at GLLM in 1997, and has served in a variety of positions including retreat coordinator and camp registrar. She began her current position as Director of Finance and Administration in the Spring of 2017.
Joel Johnson | Shores Property Manager
Joel joined the GLLM staff in 2018, after serving as a member of the Board of Directors. Joel owned and operated his own construction company for some time, before handing it over to his family. Joel has a great set of skills to care and watch over Shores of St. Andrew Bible Camp, and we're so glad to have him on our staff!
Lucy Kluver | Housekeeper
Lucy began working at GLLM in 1999. Green Lake Bible Camp looks neat and tidy thanks to all Lucy's hard work! Lucy and her husband have a hobby farm that keeps them busy! She also enjoys creating new things and spending time with her children.
Karla Kinzler | Food Service Director
Karla began as an Assistant Cook in 2015 and now oversees the menu planning and organization of GLLM's food service. Karla's calm presence, deep faith, and delicious food make her a great part of our GLLM family!
Greg Lecy | GLBC Maintenance Assistant
Greg has been a blessing to GLLM in more than on way. He started working with GLLM in the early 2000's as the Development Director. He returned to banking before retiring, but soon came back to GLLM to volunteer and now helps us get projects done around camp. Greg enjoys timing cattle sorting, helping at the Farmer's Market in Granite Falls and making wine. We're grateful for all he has done for camp!
Tina Magner | Program Associate
Tina joined the staff in September as the Program Associate. Tina will be working with the youth ministry at Peace Lutheran Church in New London, and the Program Team at GLLM. She and her husband Colin both have great camp experience and we're excited to have them here!
Bruce Nelson | Green Lake Bible Camp Property Manager
Bruce started his position at Green Lake Bible Camp in October 2018. He previously served as an auto mechanic and environmental services specialist at Glen Oaks Care Center in New London. He and his wife Nancy have 5 kids. We're so thankful to have him here and appreciate his dedication to getting a job done right!
Ron Nordby | Shores Maintenance Assistant
Ron was originally a mechanic in Willmar, but found that he could not sit still in retirement. He began working part time as a custodian at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar, and took on a maintenance position at GLLM as well. His son worked here in the early 1990's. Ron enjoys woodworking and creates beautiful pieces.
Karen Peterson | Coordinator of Donor Relations and Summer Registrar
Karen joined the GLLM staff in 2013. Karen has many years of experience with customer service, which makes her a great fit for her role at GLLM. When you call camp, you will likely talk to Karen!
Kirsten 'KP' Palan | Retreat and Communications Coordinator
KP joined the year-round staff in August of 2017. She has worked as an Assistant Program Director for GLLM and held other seasonal camp positions at YMCA Camp Ihduhapi. KP is a 2016 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and has a deep love of camping ministry.
Steven Roenfeldt | Program Director
Steven joined in the GLLM staff in 2018, moving to Minnesota from Massachusetts. Steven has a passion for youth ministry and loves to spend time outside. He and his wife Kirsten and two children - who also love camp!
Mandy Severtson | Associate Director
Mandy oversees the programming and staff for the summer camp programs at all three sites. Mandy worked three summers at GLBC in college as a counselor and assistant program director. She spent 10 years teaching elementary school music before joining the staff at GLLM.
Elizabeth Wheelis | Food Service Assisant
Elizabeth joined the GLLM staff in the summer of 2018, right in the middle of the busy summer season! She immediately became an important and integral part of our food service crew! Elizabeth has worked at camps in Colorado and Texas, and loves her dog.
