A successful first phase!
The Water's Edge Campaign represents a significant moment for Green Lake Lutheran Ministries, as the first major capital initiative since 1981. The completed projects under this campaign have had an immediate impact and deepened our ability to serve and grow in our mission. There's a sense of gratitude and anticipation building within our community. Their responses have been heartening, with renewed support and enthusiasm for what lies ahead, guided by our mission’s enduring principles.

This excitement reflects a shared commitment to our ministry's journey, recognizing our achievements while staying focused on the path God has set for us and our dedication to serving and expanding in faith.
The Village at Shores of St. Andrew - now open!
The renovation of The Village at Shores of St. Andrew Bible Camp is complete! Over just 9 months, The Village was transformed to embody the holy hospitality that now shines brightly in every corner of the completed space. The 21 sleeping rooms were renovated with an intentional sense of rest in mind. The Village Lodge’s floor plan was redesigned to accommodate all levels of accessibility and create space to gather as a community. Groups who have used the space have been overwhelmingly positive, noting the tangible sense of radical hospitality and improved comfort.
The Village is more than just a group of buildings; it’s a sanctuary for rest, growth, learning, and spiritual rejuvenation. It represents what can be achieved when hearts and hands come together in faith and purpose. We are blessed to steward this space as part of the GLLM ministry for years to come and are excited about what this symbolizes for our future. |

phase 2: what's next!
Site and facility updates - $700,000

As part of Phase 2 of the Water's Edge Campaign, site updates will be focused on enhancing both the camper experience and foundational infrastructure, ensuring our facilities are safe, accessible, and primed for ministry impact. While not outwardly grand, these projects—including paving the Green Lake Bible Camp parking lot, upgrading camper bathhouses and summer camp lodge at Shores of St. Andrew Bible Camp, improving heating and cooling systems, preserving Camp House cabins, and renovating camper cabins and retreat rooms — are crucial to supporting our mission's longevity.
organizational strategy planning - $60,000

Over the past seven years, our strategic planning has been a cornerstone of our youth program growth and innovative outreach, leading to significant development and fresh initiatives. As we turn the page on this successful chapter, we're eager to lay the groundwork for what comes next. Your support will be key in developing a new strategic plan that builds on our achievements while guiding us into the future. Together, let's invest in the next steps for our organization, ensuring continued impact and growth.
debt - $500,000

Over the past seven years, we've prudently utilized $500,000 of debt, turning it into an opportunity to significantly enhance our facilities and expand our operational budget by 65%, achieving nearly $4 million in capital improvements. As we now work towards retiring this debt, we view it not as an end but as a vital step toward greater possibilities. This move positions us to readily embrace future opportunities for ministry growth, ensuring our readiness to respond when called upon. Our focus remains on stewarding our resources wisely to serve our community better.
rebranding - $60,000

As we enter the next phase of our Waters Edge campaign, organizational rebranding takes center stage. Upgrading our website and site signage and refining the communication of our mission, vision, and values are essential investments that will rejuvenate our identity and resonate with our community. This transformation will not only reflect our evolved presence but also sharpen our message, ensuring alignment with the ambitious goals ahead. Your support is vital to bringing this new era to life.
get involved! To meet the goal of this exciting next phase, we are extending an opportunity to passionate individuals and congregations to get involved and make an impact through their generous contributions. Contact Travis Aufderheide to learn more at 320-796-2181 or [email protected]
