OUr mission:
Inviting all to experience the life-changing love of Jesus through vibrant settings in community and creation.
OUr core values:
Grace: God's love and forgiveness are freely given to everyone as a child of God. They come without condition, before we ever deserve it. Our most faithful response is to extend the same lavish generosity to one another.
Safety: Care for one another is our first priority. We are committed to making sure that everyone we meet has a safe experience, physically and emotionally. From the waterfront to the food served on your plate to that first conversation with a new friend, we will do all we can to make sure you are comfortable, confident, and secure.
Radical Hospitality: We are glad you're here! Just as God welcomes all, we welcome everyone who enters our ministry to experience the life-changing love of Jesus through top-notch service. We strive to be attentive to your needs and go the extra mile to make your experience one that you'll write home about.
Community: In Christ's name we are gathered by the Holy Spirit for the sake of one another. Singing, playing, eating, and telling stories around a campfire grounds our time together.
Diversity: God loves variety! Your unique voice matters. Every person is created in the image of God. We celebrate differences in personality, skill, culture, and faith. So don't be afraid to be who you are.
Sabbath: We offer holy time and place apart to connect with God, God's creation, and one another. Sabbath goes beyond Sunday morning, extending to everyday practice that reminds us of our identity as God's children. Sabbath gives us opportunity to stop the frantic pace and frenzy of being something other than what God made us to be...human beings who laugh and love, eat and breathe, and serve the good world that God created.
Vocation: When loved ones carve out time and space for togetherness in vibrant settings of community and creation, they are reminded of the most important callings they have to be son, daughter, husband, wife, sister, brother, parent, grandparent, and friend. Young adult staff members find a place of belonging, a place that honors their gifts, and a place where they can discern the particular ways in which God might be calling them to serve the world.
Stewardship: We are called to care for and generously share the many blessings of God. This includes stewarding precious resources of land, water, people, and money. From donor dollars to hiking trails to the hearts and minds of campers, we take our responsibility seriously.
The Word of God: Holy Scripture roots and shapes us as people of God. The Bible is a story of God and God's creation that inspires our ministry values and the way we live. We're committed to knowing this story, and to sharing God's good news joyfully through our world and actions.
