"Volunteering is a great way to get members of your congregation excited about and involved with the camp's ministry. Volunteering at camp is a lot of fun! It's the friendliest place I've ever worked!" - Steve Whitcomb
One of the most rewarding ways you can donate to the camp’s ministry is by sharing your time and talents. We would love to talk to you about how you think you could contribute to the ministry of Green Lake Lutheran Ministries! Here are some ways that people have volunteered in the past:
- Merry Mailers: Throughout the year, we send large mailings to friends and campers and need help stuffing envelopes and applying postage.
- Clean Up Days: Our sites need some TLC throughout the year, and we love having help to rake, put away seasonal equipment, and freshen up our sites again in the spring!
- Serve Boldly Support: help guide participants through their service experience!
- Quilt Auction: Quilt Auction in July runs smoothly with the help of volunteers! We need help selling tickets, hosting, greeting guests, assisting with the Silent Auction, and hanging quilts!
- Dinner Theater: The show would not go on without volunteers! In the first couple weekends of December, volunteers act, sing, play instruments, help serve tables, help in the kitchen, greet guests and help clean up.
- Wood Splitting: We always need wood for campfires and need help splitting it!
- Thrivent Action Team Project Leader: Bring a volunteer team together to complete a project at camp! Must be a Thrivent member. A GLLM Staff member is available to assist in navigating the process.
