Tips for promoting Programmed Retreats in your congregation:
Promoting in Your Congregation
Recruiting Campers
- Talk about camp early and often
- Encourage "temple talks" from previous campers to share their experiences
- Plan and block a time for your congregation to come to camp
- Camp isn't just for kids! We have other opportunities such as adult retreats and family retreats.
Recruiting Campers
- The best way to get kids to camp, is for you, their connection to church, to ASK and INVITE them.
- Provide information on scholarships; we want all kids to have access to camp and not for finances to stop kids from attending.
- Plan to attend camp with your kids. Bring your kids to camp instead of sending them to camp. Ask us more about being a resource staff and experience your campers growth in faith alongside them!
