2025 Serve Boldly OPPORTUNITIES BY LOCATION/DATE

Leaders, Guides, & Food Service Coordinators

Teams of 3-5 staff provide a quality service experience for church youth groups, grades 6-12. Main responsibilities include sharing the awareness of God’s presence through service, devotions, and Worship, fostering meaningful relationships between Serve Boldly and the community, engaging with participants, and leading daily/weekly site preparations including cleaning and assistance with food service.

A full-week program work week begins on Sunday at Noon and concludes on Friday at Noon; half-week programs begin on Sunday at Noon and conclude on Wednesday at Noon. Leaders and guides stay overnight at the housing site during the work week and receive 2-3 hours off daily, Monday through Thursday (or Monday to Tuesday during half-weeks).

Leaders must be college graduates/a minimum of 4 years of post-high school experience at the start of the summer. Qualified applicants include outdoor ministry staff alumni, seminarian/graduate students, youth ministry professionals, and/or teachers.

Guides must be one year out of high school at the start of the summer.
The salary range for Leaders & Guides is $600-$1000 per week based on position and incentives.

Food Service Coordinators must have experience in food service or cooking for large groups. The salary range for Food Service Coordinators is $600-$800 weekly based on incentives or an hourly rate dependent on the needs of the program/staff availability.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

3-week employment minimum (1 week of paid training & 2 weeks of program leadership).
Paid training includes online sessions (12 hrs total) and 3-4 days of in-person training in Wisconsin. Staff contracted for June dates will depart to assigned communities immediately following training.
3-week to 7-week employment opportunities are available. Contract length varies based on location.
Pediatric & Adult CPR, First Aid, and AED Certifications are required for Leaders & Guides.
ServSafe Food Handler Training is required for all Serve Boldly Staff.
Incentives are taxable and paid at the end of August.
