Summer 2020 was certainly different here at GLLM. We missed having campers of all ages at camp! While our onsite programming had to be cancelled, we did offer 8 weeks of online programming meant to give you a taste of our favorite parts of the camp day.
As we transition into the fall, we believe that this Camp at Home programming could also be useful to support Faith Formation at your church or in your home. Below you can find 8 themes to work with. Each theme includes 5 worships that have fun camp songs, a creative invocation, a Bible story, and a special guest. In addition, there is a tasty snack and a fun craft that goes along with each theme! You can also find below some fun extras like challenge activities and ways to get outside in nature.
Wondering how to put this to use? Here are some ideas:
- Choose a theme and stick with it for five weeks of your Faith Formation. Use one worship each week and have fun exploring together.
- Choose one worship from each theme and you have 8 weeks of programming covered!
- Are you utilizing "Playlists" for your Faith Formation? Include these links for your families to participate with at home!
- Use a worship as a conversation starter or welcome for the week, and then add your own touches to that theme. Do you have a craft or group activity that relates to that theme? Make it your own!
It is our hope that these resources can be helpful for your faith formation this fall! They continue to be offered at no cost. There are so many ways to utilize these resources, but however you choose to do so, we hope the joy of summer camp brings some joy into your settings at church and in your home.
